Reviewing a Contact’s Availability Status Using a Microsoft Account

Viewing a contact’s availability in Archie using Microsoft.

Written by Camilo

In this article, we will review a feature that allows you to see a meeting attendee’s availability while creating a booking in Archie.

Before testing this feature, make sure your Microsoft account is connected to Archie, either through a Microsoft account connection or via Microsoft app registration.

How to Use This Feature

To try this feature, you will need to create a booking as you normally would. For this example, we will book a room:

  1. Go to Booking Management → Book a Room

  2. Set the desired date and time

  3. Select the room (or element) you want to book

Checking Attendee Availability

  • In the “Search or add email” field, select the contact you want to invite

  • Next to their name, you will see their availability status

  • This status is pulled directly from the attendee’s Microsoft calendar

Important Notes

  • This feature only works if the email you are using to log into Archie exists within your Microsoft environment

  • It is not based on the account you are booking on behalf of, but rather on the account you are logged in with

  • For example, if an external Archie account (such as a support or master account) is used to access your site, it will not be able to view availability unless it exists within your Microsoft directory

If you experience any issues or have questions while using this feature, feel free to reach out for assistance.
