This guide walks you through the steps required to integrate your Brivo account with Archie and configure door access for your users.

Before You Start

Before beginning the integration, please ensure the following:

  • You already have an active Brivo account.

  • You contact Brivo Support to request an API key, as this must be generated on their side and will be required during setup.

Step 1: Generate Integration Credentials in Brivo

  1. Log in to your Brivo account.

  2. Navigate to the Marketplace.

  3. Click Generate API Token.

  4. Enter the following details:

  5. Create the integration.

  6. Open the newly created integration and copy the values listed under the Configuration section.

Step 2: Connect Brivo to Archie

  1. In Archie, go to Settings → Integrations → App Marketplace.

  2. Locate the Brivo app and click View Integration.

  3. Click Connect Brivo Account.

  4. Enter the credentials obtained from Step 1, including the API key provided by Brivo Support.

  5. Click Connect.

You will be redirected to the Brivo login page:

  • Click your profile (top right corner) and copy your Admin ID.

  • Use the Admin ID (not your email) along with your password to log in.

  • Click Submit to authorize Archie.

You are now connected and ready to configure door access.

Step 3: Configure Brivo Settings in Archie

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → App Marketplace.

  2. Select Brivo → View Integration.

  3. Open the Configuration tab.

Here you can enable the option:

  • Use Archie mobile app instead of Brivo app to unlock doors

If enabled, users can unlock doors directly from the Archie app (if they have active access).
If disabled, users must use the Brivo app.

Step 4: Assign Door Access to Plans, Services, or Day Passes

In this step, we will be working with plans already created, for more information about creating a plan, you can refer to this article.

  1. Go to Billing & Products → Plans, Products, Passes → Plans.

  2. Hover over the desired plan, click the three-dot menu, and select Edit.

  3. Open the Integrations tab.

  4. Scroll to Door Access Configuration.

  5. Click Add Door Access.

  6. Select the Groups and/or Doors to assign.

  7. Click Confirm, then Save & Close.

You can follow the same steps for services and day passes.

Archie Tip: When a user purchases a plan with door access, Archie automatically creates and links a Brivo account.

Archie Tip 2: For business accounts:

  • If all beneficiaries are included, all users will receive access.

  • If only selected beneficiaries are included, only those users will receive access.

Step 5: Assign Door Access to Workspaces (Rooms, Offices, Desks)

In this step, we will be working with elements already created, for more information about creating an element, you can refer to this article.

  1. Go to Settings → Inventory → Workspaces.

  2. Locate the element you want to edit.

  3. Click the three-dot menu and select Edit.

  4. Open the Integrations tab.

  5. Scroll to Door Access Configuration.

  6. Click Add Door Access.

  7. Select the doors to assign.

  8. Click Save & Continue, then Finish.

Step 6: Manually Assign Door Access to a User

  1. Go to Accounts.

  2. Find the user and click the three-dot menu → Open.

  3. Go to the General tab and select the Door Access sub-tab.

  4. Click Add Account.

  5. Select the doors to assign.

  6. Set the start date and time.

  7. Choose whether access is indefinite or has an end date.

  8. Click Confirm.

Step 7: Manage an Existing Brivo User in Archie

  1. Go to Accounts.

  2. Open the desired user.

  3. Navigate to General → Door Access.

  4. Locate the Brivo account and click the three-dot menu.

Available options:

  • Temporarily Disable: Suspends access without removing settings.

  • Disconnect from Archie: Unlinks the Brivo account from the user (does not delete it in Brivo).

  • Delete Brivo User: Removes the user entirely from Brivo.

You're All Set

Your Brivo integration is now fully configured. You can manage door access through plans, workspace assignments, or individual user settings depending on your needs.
